printing, or silk screening, is the art of applying a design to a garment with
permanent inks, one color at a time through a fine mesh which is stretched
tightly in a wooden or metal frame. Here in our Colorado Springs workshop, we
have three manual presses for smaller jobs as well as two automatic presses
that can print over 500 shirts an hour!
screen printing process starts in the art room. After our award winning artists
help you create the perfect design, your design is sent to the screen room
where it is color separated. The color separation process involves
singling out each color in the design and using a state of the art imager to
apply it to the screen. Each screen is coated with a special
light-sensitive emulsion and different textures of mesh are used for different
jobs. The screen is then exposed to a high power UV light, or “burned” and then
carefully rinsed with water.
screen is then mounted on the press and lined up by hand. Ink is then pulled
across the screen with a squeegee – either by hand on a manual press or with
hydraulics on the larger automatic presses. It is very important to maintain a
constant pressure and angle on the squeegees so that each shirt comes out
exactly the same.
shirts are then sent through a conveyor belt dryer to heat cure the ink to the
shirt. At the end of the dryer, the shirts are stacked, folded and counted and
ready for you to take home!
Q: What is the typical production
A: Most screen print orders take 5-7
business days, start to finish. This can be slightly longer if the garment that
you order is unavailable from local warehouses or if it takes longer than usual

work with you to meet any deadlines that you might have and rush orders are
Q: How can I get a quote?

Q: Do you price match?
A: Generally speaking, our prices

another screen printer and we’ll run it by the owner and see what we can do!

A: The first step is deciding how
you want your shirts to look. When you
come in to the showroom, your customer service rep will help you pick a garment
style and color and get your order written up.
At that time, you will also discuss your design and the art department
will begin working on your design. Your
shirts will be ordered from the warehouse as soon as you give us sizes. You should have an email proof in 24-48 hours
that will show you a mock up of your design.
Once we receive art approval, we’ll burn the screens for your job and print
your shirts. The whole process generally
takes 5-7 business days.
Q: Do you charge for PMS color
A: We do not charge for PMS matching
Q: Can you do metallic, glitter or
other specialty colors?
A: Yes, however restrictions apply. Ask
